MTCT-Plus Implementation and Quality Assistance Project
This project built on preventing maternal-to-child transmission of HIV efforts and provided comprehensive HIV primary care and ART for HIV-infected mothers, infants, and other household members.
MTCT-Plus Data Management Center
The clinical care paradigm for this initiative is family-centered and holistic, addressing the stigma and physical and mental health needs of HIV+ women and their family members, in addition to the distribution of antiretroviral medications.
Reproductive Health Response in Conflict (RHRC) (2001-2009)
On behalf of RHRC, JSI administered a small grants program to help local and INGOs impact the lives of displaced women, and developed violence prevention programs to prevent sexual and gender-based discrimination, abuse, and exploitation.
Decentralized HIV/AIDS & Reproductive Health (DARE) (2002-2004)
This project helped develop systems to ensure an uninterrupted supply of contraceptive and HIV & AIDS-related commodities to public health facilities in Kenya.
Reproductive Health for Refugees – Gender-Based Violence Initiative (2004-2005)
In Kenya, through the RH for Refugees Consortium, JSI developed a violence prevention and intervention programs which sought to prevent sexual and gender-based discrimination, abuse, and exploitation by creating awareness of refugee issues, human rights, and gender equality.
